I have used an external 3.5" floppy drive to transfer old files from an Apple Mac LC from 1992 to my current computer. It has been somewhat successful using MacDrive 11, but some of the text and files has encoding issues that make it difficult to read. When I open the file it asks what program to use and I choose MS Word (I've tried notepad too), then there's a window saying "select encoding that makes document readable." I've tried numerous selections (including Unicode UTF-8) to no avail. Is there a solution for me to read these old documents?
